Ingredients
  

  • 5 bagels
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • Maple syrup optional for serving
  • Powdered sugar optional for serving

Instructions
 

  • Cut the bagels in half.
  • In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Dip each bagel half in the egg mixture to soak.
  • Heat a pan over medium and melt butter in it.
  • Cook the soaked bagel halves in the pan until golden brown on both sides (about 3 to 4 minutes each side).
  • Sprinkle with maple syrup and powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
