- 5 bagels
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- Maple syrup optional for serving
- Powdered sugar optional for serving
Cut the bagels in half.
In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Dip each bagel half in the egg mixture to soak.
Heat a pan over medium and melt butter in it.
Cook the soaked bagel halves in the pan until golden brown on both sides (about 3 to 4 minutes each side).
Sprinkle with maple syrup and powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
