Ingredients
  

  • 1 box ditalini pasta
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs basil, parsley, additional seasoning (garlic powder, red pepper flakes)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the ditalini pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  • In the same skillet, add frozen peas, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for about 5 minutes, until the sauce is hot and slightly thickened.
  • Toss the cooked pasta with the creamy sauce. Add some reserved pasta cooking water as needed to help the sauce adhere to the pasta.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
