Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 1 box dark chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1 3.4 oz box chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For the Soaking Liquid:

  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

For the Chocolate Ganache:

  • 4 oz chocolate 60% cacao recommended
  • ½ cup heavy cream

For the Frosting:

  • 1 can coconut pecan frosting

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cake:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, eggs, yogurt, vegetable oil, whole milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour batter into a greased 9x13-inch pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool slightly.

Poke and Soak:

  • Use a fork or toothpick to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
  • Warm the sweetened condensed milk slightly (if desired) and pour it over the poked cake, allowing it to soak in.

Make the Ganache:

  • Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until almost boiling.
  • Pour over the chocolate and let sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
  • Let the ganache cool slightly before spreading it over the cake.

Frost and Finish:

  • Spread the coconut pecan frosting over the top of the cake.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
