  • 1 lb of Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tbsp table salt
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions
 

Cleaning and Trimming the Sprouts:

  • Wash Brussels sprouts under cold water.
  • Trim off tough stems and remove any bad leaves.

Blanching the Sprouts:

  • Boil salted water in a large pot.
  • Blanch Brussels sprouts for 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer to ice water to stop cooking.
  • Drain well.

Making the Sauce:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, maple syrup, honey, chili powder, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth.

Roasting the Brussels Sprouts:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Spread blanched Brussels sprouts on a greased baking sheet, ensuring they are not crowded.
  • Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
