- 2 sticks of unsalted butter
- 1 minced onion
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- Honey or brown sugar amount to taste
- 1 cup seafood or chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Red pepper flakes to taste
- Chopped parsley optional, for garnish
- Smoked paprika optional, for added depth
Melt 2 sticks of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add 1 minced onion and cook until translucent.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Mix in 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning and 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning.
Add honey or brown sugar to taste.
Pour in 1 cup of seafood or chicken stock and let it simmer for 6-8 minutes.
Stir in 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
