Ingredients
  

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 1 minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Honey or brown sugar amount to taste
  • 1 cup seafood or chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Red pepper flakes to taste
  • Chopped parsley optional, for garnish
  • Smoked paprika optional, for added depth

Instructions
 

  • Melt 2 sticks of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add 1 minced onion and cook until translucent.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Mix in 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning and 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning.
  • Add honey or brown sugar to taste.
  • Pour in 1 cup of seafood or chicken stock and let it simmer for 6-8 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Adjust spice level with red pepper flakes to taste.
  • Optional: Stir in chopped parsley and smoked paprika.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
